To be honest, I wasn't very interested in playing Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. SquareEnix have a track record for remasters that are inferior to the originals. The low score seems harsh, but this is supposed to be a remaster. Analogue controls don't function correctly.
At one of the best points in the game it oddly uses the music from the PC version. Pre-rendered backgrounds have lost detail in the smoothing process. Textures don't line up right anymore and the roads textures are broken.
Looks worse on PS4 as the pixelated look on PS1 made it look more detailed.
Character models are not all faithful to the original, Squall for example looking more anime. Cheats are added to the push of the analogue sticks which are easy to turn on by mistake. + Will make you love the PS1 more and make you wish you was playing it on that instead. + Will make you love the PS1 more and make you wish you was + The PS1 version is the best game ever made, this isn't the PS1 version though. It has also conquered other merchandises such as clothing, accessories, toys and school supplies.+ The PS1 version is the best game ever made, this isn't the PS1 version though. The video game franchise has spawned CGI films, anime, manga, and novels.

Sakaguchi was experiencing a setback in game developing when he conceptualized Final Fantasy. Their abilities and skills are developed gradually. The player is usually in control of the different characters who he acquires as the game progresses. Along with their quest to defeat a common enemy, they also go through individual struggles and relationship conflicts. The plots are similar in such a way that all stories focus on characters from different backgrounds who come together to save the world.
